Non-Binary Gender Terms Across Languages:

Although there are many English-language resources and glossaries about transgender, genderqueer, and non-binary terms, there are not as many in other languages. I have begun a few pages at the Non-Binary Wiki, which anyone can edit, to list terms and their meanings in a few languages:

Glossary of Chinese gender and sex terminology

Glossary of Japanese gender and sex terminology

Glossary of Korean gender and sex terminology

Glossary of Russian gender and sex terminology

Glossary of Spanish gender and sex terminology

More will be added - these were created as just a start to this project and anyone is welcome to create further language pages or edit the ones that already exist to add new terms, citations of sources, or correct any errors. I am focusing on collecting terms related to non-binary gender identity, although general gender and sex terms can also be added to these glossaries. I am very excited about this project!

"On a number of levels, Rid Of Me was an album rooted in carnal lust and sexual betrayal. When Harvey hissed "You snake / You crawled / Between / My legs" on the tense howl of 'Snake', she was raging about her "fake" "liar" of a lover. However, it was the track 'Dry' that painted an even more vivid mental image. "I caught it in the face," Polly revealed on the song's opening line, before the chorus kicked in with the repeated refrain of "you leave me dry." Taken literally, it was a brutally honest assessment, but while 'Dry' may well have been partly about the unaroused state of Harvey's vaginal mucosa, I always assumed it was written about the breakdown of relationships in general – and the song struck a deep chord within me. At the time, I was in a particularly joyless relationship, and knew that I was not providing love, support or any level of happiness to my partner. A song like 'Dry' was my cardiac dagger – Polly had vocalised how my girlfriend 'might' be feeling and I flinched at the notion. Rid Of Me was a particularly difficult and compelling listen."

Keeping free time scarce means people pay a lot more for convenience, gratification, and any other relief they can buy. It keeps them watching television, and its commercials. It keeps them unambitious outside of work.

Gregory Scarpa, Sr. was an enforcer for the Colombo crime family, specifically for the boss Carmine Persico. He was responsible for at least three murders in 1991. In addition to being a murderer, Scarpa was also racist. He despised African Americans. In fact, in 1986, he underwent emergency ulcer surgery at Victory Memorial Hospital in Brooklyn. He refused blood donations from the local blood bank because he feared that the blood may have been donated by African Americans.

Instead, he took blood donations from several family members and associates. One associate was mobster Paul Mele, who was a body builder and steroid user. Mele had contracted HIV from a dirty needle and ended up passing it on to Scarpa. It eventually progressed into AIDS which caused the death of the mobster. So Scarpa died from being a racist.
